TOEIC Vocabulary by Score Band
The high-frequency TOEIC words that actually show up, grouped by the score they help you unlock. Tap any word to hear it, filter to your target band, then test yourself in quiz mode. Free, no signup.
Which words for which score?
You do not need to memorize thousands of words. The TOEIC recycles the same business and workplace topics, so a focused list by band goes much further than a giant dictionary. Start at your target and build upward.
| Band | Level | What these words are |
|---|---|---|
| 600 | Everyday business basics | Offices, orders, shipping, schedules. The words on almost every test. |
| 730 | Intermediate business | Revenue, suppliers, promotions, procedures. The core of a solid score. |
| 800 | Upper level (around CEFR B2) | Compliance, allocate, mandatory, appraisal. Where good scores are made. |
| 900 | Advanced and nuanced | Contingency, accrue, stipulate, waiver. The words that separate top scorers. |
How to actually remember them
Four habits do most of the work:
- Learn each word inside its example sentence, not alone. Context is what your brain keeps.
- Say it out loud. Tap the speaker on every card and repeat it once.
- Use the quiz for spaced repetition. Testing yourself beats re-reading a list.
- Study up to your target band, then stretch one band higher.
