The official TOEIC in Indonesia is run by ITC (PT International Test Center), ETS's country distributor. TOEFL ITP is handled separately by IIEF. Your TOEIC score is valid for 2 years.

Take the test at the ITC office or authorized test centre you chose.

Scoring takes about 3 working days; check it online and wait for the printed certificate by courier.

Where to take the TOEIC in Indonesia

ITC's head office is at Plaza Sentral, 17th floor, Jl. Jend. Sudirman Kav. 47, Jakarta, with an operational office at Mangga Dua Square (Jakarta) and an office in Malang. ITC lists authorized test centres in 19 provinces. Digital (computer) sessions in October 2026 ran in Jakarta, Malang, Bandung, Pontianak, Batam, Jember, Surabaya and Kediri.

Results, certificate and validity

ITC scores the test in about 3 working days and sends a printed Official Score Certificate by JNE courier; there is no soft copy, but you can check your score online at cekskor.itc-indonesia.com. Speaking & Writing results take about 3 weeks. ITC no longer issues the Certificate of Achievement. A TOEIC score is valid for 2 years.

Is there an online TOEIC in Indonesia?

ITC's "digital" TOEIC is a computer-based test taken at a test centre, not at home. ITC's FAQ also mentions a computer test taken from home (ask ITC at digital@itc-indonesia.com for details), and TOEIC Link, ETS's newer test, runs online with AI proctoring. To practise online for free, use the tests below.

What TOEIC score do you need in Indonesia?

Indonesia uses TOEIC and TOEFL side by side, so first check which test your target accepts. Where TOEIC is named, published numbers run from 440 to 700. The national average is 461 (Listening 269, Reading 191).

440–500 many civil-service roles

CPNS 2024: BKN asked 440, ESDM 500 for S1/D4 and the Foreign Ministry 510 for auditors.

575–690 ministries and specialist roles

ESDM wanted 575 for S2 and 690 for translators; Kemlu's general diplomat track asked 690.

600–700 banks and energy

Pertamina internships usually ask TOEIC 600; BNI's 2026 Global Analyst Program asked 700.

990 the maximum

Listening and Reading are 5 to 495 each, for a total of 10 to 990.

The often-quoted "TOEIC 500 for BUMN" comes from prep blogs, not the official joint-hiring notice.

TOEIC or TOEFL?

Check the exact test before you book. LPDP accepts only TOEFL ITP, TOEFL iBT, IELTS and PTE, so a TOEIC score will not count there. Some universities use TOEIC for graduation (UMN asks 405 for D3/S1 and 500 for S2), while others such as Undip and IPB use TOEFL. See TOEIC vs TOEFL for the full comparison.

How do I register for the TOEIC in Indonesia?

No. In 2025 an English certificate was optional, and English was tested in-house in Online Test 2.

What TOEIC score do you need for CPNS?

Only some agencies list TOEIC. In 2024 the Foreign Ministry asked 690 for its general diplomat track, ESDM asked 500 to 690 depending on the role, and BKN asked 440.

Does LPDP accept TOEIC?

No. LPDP accepts TOEFL ITP, TOEFL iBT, IELTS and PTE only.

What TOEIC score do you need for a job in Indonesia?

It depends on the employer and the test it accepts. Published TOEIC requirements include 440 for BKN, 500 for ESDM (S1/D4), 600 for Pertamina internships and 700 for BNI's Global Analyst Program. Many employers name TOEFL instead.

What TOEIC score does the Foreign Ministry (Kemlu) require?

For CPNS 2024: 690 for the general diplomat track, or TOEFL 550, iBT 80 or IELTS 6.5. Graduates in Mandarin, Japanese, Korean or Russian needed 630, the special Papua and Kalimantan track 575, and auditors 510.

What TOEIC score does BNI require?

BNI's ODP Global Analyst Program asked for TOEIC 700 (or TOEFL iBT 60, IELTS 6.0) in 2026, down from 800 in 2025. Its general ODP track asks for TOEFL 450.

What TOEIC score does Pertamina require?

Pertamina's 2026 internships usually ask for TOEIC 600, TOEFL paper-based 500 or IELTS 5.5, depending on the programme.

Does Garuda Indonesia require a TOEIC score for flight attendants?

The 2024 to 2025 notices ask for fluent English, with no TOEIC number. The often-quoted TOEIC 600 comes from 2018 coverage.

Do Indonesian universities require TOEIC to graduate?

Some do. UMN requires TOEIC 405 for D3/S1 and 500 for S2, and Politeknik Negeri Bali makes TOEIC compulsory for final-year students. Many public universities, such as Undip and IPB, use TOEFL instead.

TOEIC or TOEFL for Indonesia?

Check your target first. Civil-service formations, LPDP and many universities name TOEFL; some ministries, banks, energy companies and private universities accept or require TOEIC.

What is the average TOEIC score in Indonesia?

What is the maximum TOEIC score?
