How to register for the TOEIC in Thailand
Choose the Public test if you need a score that counts abroad, or the in-house (Institutional) test for Thai employers and universities. If an airline asks for a "Personal" test, book it yourself as an individual, not through your school or employer.
Call CPA Thailand's Call Center at least one working day before the test (Monday to Saturday, 08:00 to 16:30), or book at the test centre. Bookings are not taken by email or Facebook.
Thai nationals: Thai ID card, Thai smart-card driving licence or Thai passport (originals). Foreign nationals: passport, plus a student card or work permit if you have one. Your photo is taken at the centre.
The Public test fee is paid on test day by cash, credit card or QR.
Public test results are ready 4 working days later (see below).
TOEIC test fee in Thailand
(includes 50 baht EMS delivery)
CPA Thailand lists no student discount. Fees are from CPA Thailand's booking pages, checked 9 October 2026.
Where to take the TOEIC: Bangkok, Chiang Mai and more
Bangkok: BB Building, Suite 1907, 19th floor, 54 Asoke Montri Road (Sukhumvit 21), Wattana. Nearest stations: BTS Asok exit 3 and MRT Phetchaburi exit 2. The monthly Public test is held here.
Chiang Mai: Siriphanich Building, 191 Huay Kaew Road. In-house tests are held in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
Other cities: CPA Thailand runs Open Testing sessions outside Bangkok (in October 2026: Chonburi, Chiang Mai and Rayong) and has authorized test campuses at Thammasat University (Pathum Thani), Khon Kaen University, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, Chonburi Technological College and Prince of Songkla University (Hat Yai and Phuket).

Results and how long your score lasts
For the Public test, collect your score report in Bangkok 4 working days after the test (14:30 to 16:30), or have it sent by EMS courier (pay the delivery fee in cash on test day). Collect it within 90 days; after that only a reprint (250 baht) is available. Speaking & Writing results take 9 calendar days. Results come as a paper score report, collected in person or sent by EMS.
CPA Thailand certifies scores for 2 years from the test date, and most Thai employers ask for a score from the last 2 years.
Public or Institutional: book the right test
CPA Thailand runs two programmes, and the difference matters for airline jobs.

If an airline asks for a TOEIC taken as a "Personal" test, book it yourself as an individual, not through your university or employer, and check whether the notice also requires a Public test score.
What TOEIC score do you need in Thailand?
There is no single national number. The published requirements cluster in three bands, and Thailand's average Listening & Reading score is 531 (Listening 307, Reading 224), so most of them sit above the typical test taker.
The Bank of Thailand asks 550 for analyst and auditor posts; PTT Digital listed 550 for an SAP role.
Thai Airways and Thai Lion Air cabin crew need 600; Bangkok Airways, Thai AirAsia and SCG Chemicals ask 650.
The Bank of Thailand's financial-stability analyst post asks 800.
Listening and Reading are 5 to 495 each, for a total of 10 to 990.
Airlines: the clearest cutoffs
Airline notices print exact minimums, and two rules trip people up: some accept only a TOEIC taken as an individual ("Personal"), and all of them limit how old your score can be.

Universities
Thailand's Higher Education Standards Committee (January 2024) asks universities to set English targets of B1 for diplomas, B2 for bachelor's and C1 for graduate degrees, but each university picks its own test. KMUTT uses its own TETET and maps B1 to TOEIC 540, B2 to 650 and C1 to 820; Kasetsart uses KU-EXITE; Mahidol's graduate school does not accept TOEIC.
